Selecting the right workloads for Azure

We assess each candidate workload in context: business criticality, data classification, availability targets, integrations, skills and the services it depends on. Participants compare STACKIT and Azure capabilities for compute, networking, identity, observability, managed data services, AI and global delivery. The result is not simply a feature checklist, but an understanding of the operating model each choice requires.

The workshop also explores hybrid and multi-cloud patterns. Some workloads can remain on STACKIT while Azure provides specialized PaaS, analytics or AI capabilities; others need a clean migration to avoid operational complexity. We examine connectivity, identity federation, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, data movement and incident ownership so that the architecture remains supportable after go-live.

Teams finish with a workload-by-workload recommendation and an incremental roadmap. It documents expected value, prerequisites, compliance considerations and risks, allowing technical and business stakeholders to make transparent cloud-platform decisions.
